Primer is one place to get started on knowing or understanding ISO15926. Primer covers all aspects of ISO15926 from history, to it's very need to be in existence, to ISO 15926 implementation, compliance level and technologies used to ease it's real-time implementation. Primer covers all the titles mentioned here but to avoid repetition, reference is given only once here in Introduction section.

History and Evolution
